PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bilashki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bilashki comes to the cage accompanied by The Warriors of Skyrim. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Bilashki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kenpachi Zaraki!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaraki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bilashki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zaraki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zaraki feints a counter leg kick.
Zaraki with a nice cross.
Bilashki misses with a wild combination.
Bilashki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zaraki has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bilashki lands a jab to Zaraki's midsection.
Zaraki throws a right hand that Bilashki ducks under and follows up with a left that Bilashki also avoids with ease.
Bilashki ducks right into an uppercut from Zaraki.

Bilashki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zaraki did well to prevent Bilashki getting side control.

Bilashki definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bilashki has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zaraki is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zaraki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bilashki.

Bilashki wants to break the clinch but can't.
Zaraki lands with a light punch inside.

Zaraki lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bilashki backs up against the cage.
Bilashki tries to bum rush Zaraki with a series of wild strikes but Zaraki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zaraki throws a counter combo.
Bilashki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bilashki has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zaraki finds it's way round the side to connect with Bilashki's head.
Bilashki is looking to clinch.
Bilashki wants to clinch up but Zaraki keeps it at a distance.
Bilashki tries to clinch but Zaraki moves out of range.
Zaraki is looking for the big counter here.
Bilashki scores with a one two! Zaraki had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Bilashki lands a big head kick that sends Zaraki tumbling to the mat! Bilashki takes a step backwards and waves Zaraki back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Kenpachi Zaraki has been cut.
Bilashki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bilashki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Zaraki - the referee stops the clock and Bilashki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Zaraki. Bilashki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bilashki tries to close the distance and clinch but Zaraki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Zaraki counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bilashki thinking.

Zaraki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Zaraki does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bilashki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zaraki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenpachi Zaraki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Zaraki digs a right hand into Bilashki's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bilashki's gas tank.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Zaraki dips a shoulder and cracks Bilashki with a mighty uppercut! Bilashki falls back against the cage and Zaraki unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bilashki is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Zaraki screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenpachi Zaraki!
Kenpachi Zaraki seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
