The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bombada unleashes a big counter combination but Nyrkki bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Nyrkki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bombada's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bombada holds on and takes a little breather.

A close round but Champ Bombada will probably get the nod.

Nyrkki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bombada but Bombada pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nyrkki closes the distance and clinches up with Bombada, looking for a takedown. Nyrkki pushes Bombada against the cage but Bombada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Bombada's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

and Bombada counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nyrkki, as that shot connected.
Bombada tries a head kick but it misses.
Bombada works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

No joy there for Bombada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nyrkki tries to counter by clinching up but Bombada breaks away and moves out of range.
