Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

34 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Romano Schoots! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Schoots.
It looks like Julian Reis has been cut. We've been informed that Schoots has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Schoots lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Schoots scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Schoots is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Schoots is trying to control. Reis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Schoots wants to free his trapped foot but Reis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Reis is not content to let Schoots control the position. Reis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Schoots puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Schoots lands strikes from half guard. Schoots tries to pass to full mount but Reis defends it. Schoots trying to control the pace. Schoots seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Schoots working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Schoots content to control rather than advance. Reis is not content to let Schoots control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romano Schoots dominated that round. The cut man is working on Julian Reis's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reis is trying to improve his position. Schoots looks up at the clock and then as Reis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Schoots smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Schoots wants to control the pace but Reis is squirming around nicely. Schoots breaks from Reis's wrist control and lands an elbow. A big strike lands for Schoots! That's really hurt Reis and he's turned his back - Schoots keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Schoots jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Romano Schoots! A relieved looking Romano Schoots thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
