Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Floyd Pepper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Bob! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pepper wants to clinch. Bob looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pepper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bob wants to pass the guard but Pepper is keeping the position. Bob trying to control but Pepper is working from the bottom. Pepper looking for a guillotine here but Bob defends easily.

Bob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pepper had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bob is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pepper Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bob's back instead. Bob defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Bob is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Pepper gets his way!
Pepper is breathing heavily. Bob tries to roll but Pepper sticks to his back.
Pepper is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bob has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bob tries to break free.
Pepper working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob tries to roll but Pepper sticks to his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob just trying to survive but Pepper is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Pepper is hanging on to Bob's back as he tries to escape.
Bob tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Bob can't escape the position.
Pepper fails to advance to Bob's back. Pepper working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Pepper has control of Bob's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bob regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob can't escape the position.
Bob is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bob tries to hold on but Pepper postures up. Pepper working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bob turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pepper off and cradles Bob's limp body as Pepper celebrates with his corner.
