Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoncy Lowvinceski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Hofmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hofmann has chosen Die Klapperschlange as his entrance music. Yoncy Lowvinceski has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowvinceski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hofmann comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Lowvinceski tries to pull guard but Hofmann holds him up against the cage and eventually Lowvinceski drops back down to his feet.
Hofmann misses with a body punch.
Hofmann is pushing Lowvinceski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Hofmann manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Lowvinceski counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hofmann!
Lowvinceski is breathing heavily.
Hofmann tries to bench press Lowvinceski off him but Lowvinceski keeps the position.

Hofmann gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hofmann manages to get to full guard.
Lowvinceski won't allow Hofmann to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hofmann has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Noble Intentions. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We've been hearing that Lowvinceski has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Lowvinceski wants to pass the guard but Hofmann is keeping the position.

Hofmann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lowvinceski manages to get himself to full guard.

Hofmann is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hofmann wants to pass the guard but Lowvinceski is keeping the position.

Hofmann works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hofmann uses his free foot to push down on Lowvinceski's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lowvinceski.

Hofmann is landing with some decent strikes but Lowvinceski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hofmann unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Lowvinceski wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hofmann celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
