Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richie Reijk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Troy Jefferson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jefferson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Reijk moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Reijk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reijk lands in his opponent's guard. Reijk postures up in Jefferson's guard and throws a big left but Jefferson blocks it. Jefferson is looking for a triangle but Reijk pushes his legs off easily.
Jefferson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Reijk doesn't defend quickly enough and Jefferson has managed to lock this one up! Can Reijk escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jefferson on a fantastic submission victory.
