Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eemeli Saeldur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antreas Dimopoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eemeli Saeldur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antreas Dimopoulos!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saeldur shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Saeldur was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dimopoulos pushes Saeldur away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Saeldur gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Dimopoulos explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Dimopoulos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dimopoulos throws a head kick but Saeldur moves out of range.

Saeldur throws a quick counter head kick but Dimopoulos was just out of range.

Dimopoulos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saeldur to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dimopoulos is looking to stand up but Saeldur isn't so interested in that idea.

Saeldur working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Saeldur won't allow Dimopoulos to get back to his feet.
Saeldur is standing up over Dimopoulos. Dimopoulos looks to escape but Saeldur dives into side control.

Saeldur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saeldur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dimopoulos is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Saeldur has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Saeldur working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dimopoulos avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Saeldur.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dimopoulos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Saeldur decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Saeldur rushes Dimopoulos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Saeldur has Dimopoulos pushed against the cage.

Dimopoulos manages to break the clinch.

Saeldur misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dimopoulos.

Dimopoulos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dimopoulos clinches up with Saeldur and pushes him back against the cage.

Saeldur throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dimopouloss head.

Dimopoulos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Saeldur fails with the takedown.
Saeldur takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dimopoulos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saeldur moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dimopoulos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Saeldur, pushing him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dimopoulos breaks the clinch.

Saeldur closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dimopoulos quickly recovers to half guard.
Dimopoulos looks winded!

Saeldur is looking for a kimura but Dimopoulos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Saeldur to get the leverage.
Dimopoulos pushes Saeldur off looking to stand but Saeldur dives back in and keeps control.
Saeldur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dimopoulos on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eemeli Saeldur will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Saeldur moves in looking to clinch but Dimopoulos pushes him off.
As Saeldur backs off Dimopoulos throws a huge counter combo but Saeldur manages to avoid it all.
Dimopoulos slaps away a takedown attempt from Saeldur, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Saeldur throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dimopoulos was covering up waiting for the punch and Saeldur finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dimopoulos manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Dimopoulos manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saeldur throws a sloppy head kick and Dimopoulos moves out of range easily.

Saeldur drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Saeldur's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Saeldur is looking to clinch but Dimopoulos is avoiding it.
Dimopoulos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eemeli Saeldur. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dimopoulos throws a nice looking combination but Saeldur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It looked like Saeldur wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dimopoulos tries to kick Saeldur off but Saeldur keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Saeldur stops Dimopoulos from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dimopoulos keeping moving, preventing Saeldur from controlling successfully.
Saeldur really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dimopoulos has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Saeldur is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antreas Dimopoulos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Saeldur shoots in but no luck this time.
Dimopoulos lands with a good body shot.
Saeldur darts in looking for a takedown but Dimopoulos gets double underhooks and turns Saeldur into the cage.
Dimopoulos is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Dimopoulos throws a right hand that Saeldur ducks under and follows up with a left that Saeldur also avoids with ease.

and Saeldur counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Saeldur.

Saeldur tries to close the distance and clinch but Dimopoulos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Saeldur throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dimopoulos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Saeldur is in Dimopoulos's guard.

Saeldur seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Saeldur is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Eemeli Saeldur showed his dominance in that final round.
