Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mason Chino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Haji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali Haji has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mason Chino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ali Haji! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chino slaps away a takedown attempt from Haji, before circling back to the center of the mat. Haji tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chino swivels and escapes. Chino fails to land the takedown. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chino.
Haji will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mason Chino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Haji. Chino fails in his attempt to clinch. Haji stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haji takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chino. Haji does a little dance to reset his feet. Chino goes for a double leg but Haji avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Haji continues to drive forward. Haji tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chino swivels and escapes. Chino swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chino doesn't succeed with the takedown and Haji counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Chino has Haji pressed against the cage, preventing Haji from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chino breaks from the clinch.
Haji fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chino avoids it really well and circles away. Chino throws a series of punches but Haji avoids them all with ease. Haji clinches. Chino can't get the takedown.
Chino is looking to take this one to the mat. Nice body punch from Haji - that landed with a thud.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chino tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Haji smiles and moves away.
Haji fails with a takedown attempt. Chino shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Haji fails to land the takedown. Haji fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chino is looking to clinch. Chino gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Haji counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Haji. Chino is breathing heavily. Haji pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chino trying to control but Haji is working from the bottom.

Chino throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haji works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Chino has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Chino pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Haji is keeping the position for now. Haji had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chino defends it easily. Haji pulls Chino in close to prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Haji wriggles free and stands up. Chino closes the distance but Haji moves to the side and Haji counters with a two punch combo. Chino stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chino wants it to stay on the feet. Haji rushes Chino and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short right from Haji on the inside. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Haji tries to pull guard but Chino holds him up against the cage and eventually Haji drops back down to his feet.

Ali Haji dominated that round. That's time! Chino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chino is defended easily by Haji. Mason Chino is winning the standup battle so far. Chino tries to bum rush Haji with a series of wild strikes but Haji uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mason Chino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chino throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chino misses with a takedown and Haji counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Chino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haji throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Chino lands a head kick!
Haji has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Haji gets in close and instigates a clinch. Chino changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Haji fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Haji is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chino pulls him back up using the underhooks. Haji tries to break the clinch but Chino is controlling the position. Haji drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chino pulls his leg out and moves away.

Chino scores with a one two! Haji had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chino leaves Haji with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Haji closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chino circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haji takes a shot to the body in his stride.

It looks like Ali Haji has been cut. Chino looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A punch combination from Chino misses. Haji fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chino manages to avoid it. Haji shoots in for a takedown but Chino shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Chino attempts a counter takedown but Haji avoids it well and moves away. Haji tries to clinch up. Chino wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Chino showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Haji.

Haji shoots in looking for a takedown but Chino manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Haji's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That was a close second round but I would say that Mason Chino will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ali Haji's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Haji lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Haji gets a clinch. Chino is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Chino blocks an elbow strike. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Haji has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chino uses from the top position.

Chino keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Chino closes the distance looking to clinch and Haji counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Haji has managed to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Ali Haji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Haji has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
