Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delmar Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Boyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Delmar Chen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vince Boyatt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Chen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boyatt to the mat! Boyatt manages to get full guard.
Chen really is a fat lump.
Boyatt is looking to stand up but Chen isn't so interested in that idea.
Chen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chen sitting in guard here, content to control.
Chen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Delmar Chen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Boyatt wants to counter the offense by Chen and move into the clinch position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Chen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Chen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Boyatt has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chen controlling the action here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyatt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyatt sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chen content to control rather than advance.

Chen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Boyatt to get to his feet.
Chen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boyatt as he jumps to the side.
Boyatt wants to counter with a clinch but Chen pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chen dives in and grabs Boyatt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boyatt pushes down on Chen's head and hops out.
Boyatt is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delmar Chen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chen closes the distance and clinches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boyatt throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chen blocks it with crossed arms.
Boyatt with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Boyatt tries a knee to the head but Chen blocks it.
Boyatt lands an elbow that stopped Chen in his tracks for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Delmar Chen dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Chen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.


It looks like Delmar Chen has been cut.

Boyatt drops Chen with a big knee straight up the middle! Chen is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Chen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boyatt tries to avoid it but Chen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boyatt to the ground. Boyatt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chen gets a clinch.
Boyatt lands a big knee to the head and Chen goes down! Boyatt pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vince Boyatt!
During a confident post fight interview, Vince Boyatt thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
