Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shingo Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Kart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shingo Tanaka!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanaka has Kart up against the cage in a clinch.
Tanaka is stalling here.
Kart has Tanaka pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tanaka manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kart can't break the clinch.
Tanaka displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kart up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kart is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tanaka gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kart changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tanaka fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kart throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kart tries for a takedown but Tanaka circles away easily
and Tanaka counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kart is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tanaka fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kart.

Kart changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tanaka fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kart moves to clinch but Tanaka breaks away
and Tanaka counters with a low kick, right behind Kart 's knee.

Tanaka moves into the clinch successfully.
Tanaka slows down the pace here.
Tanaka avoiding damage.
Tanaka continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Kart jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tanaka walks away with a smile on his face. Kart gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kart is trying to drag Tanaka to the mat but Tanaka just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tanaka will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kart up against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tanaka - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Shingo Tanaka.
Kart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tanaka is trying to counter with his kicks.
Kart takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kart looks for a takedown but Tanaka sprawls well.

and Tanaka counters with a body kick.

Tanaka rushes Kart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kart is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tanaka pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tanaka's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Tanaka flicks out a counter leg kick but Kart steps away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kart tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tanaka smiles and moves away.

and Tanaka counters with a thumping low kick.
Kart is looking to clinch.

Kart gets tackled into the cage by Tanaka. Tanaka maintains the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tanaka - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tanaka is struggling to control the position.

Kart tries to score a body lock takedown but Tanaka shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shingo Tanaka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nate Kart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kart dives in and grabs Tanaka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tanaka pushes down on Kart's head and hops out.
Tanaka appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Tanaka keeps the fight on the outside.
Kart dives in for a single leg takedown but Tanaka sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tanaka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kart is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kart can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Shingo Tanaka seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Tanaka is struggling to control the position.
Kart is looking to take this one to the mat.
Tanaka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kart is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tanaka is defending well.

Shingo Tanaka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kart is trying to pull guard but Tanaka has him pressed against the cage.

Shingo Tanaka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tanaka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
