Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phrisbee OReiley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OReiley has chosen Shoot To Thrill as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Phrisbee OReiley!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson.
OReiley is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.
OReiley wants to control but Jackson postures up.
Jackson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but OReiley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

OReiley wants to control but Jackson postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. OReiley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
OReiley is trying to get back to full guard.
Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but OReiley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jackson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

OReiley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jackson wants to control from the top but OReiley keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
OReiley wants to sweep but no luck.

A momentary lapse in concentration from OReiley enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. OReiley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
OReiley is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.

OReiley looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jackson has picked OReiley up and slammed him! OReiley can't keep hold of the triangle and Jackson manages to pass to side control!

OReiley moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Jackson backs off OReiley throws a huge counter combo but Jackson manages to avoid it all.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

OReiley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so OReiley is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

OReiley takes one to the chin there.

and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jackson leaves OReiley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jackson is looking for a counter combo.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but OReiley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
OReiley lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
OReiley needs to keep his hands up - Jackson had a free shot at his head there.

and OReiley counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.

OReiley tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jackson gets caught flat footed, as OReiley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson is controlling OReiley's posture.
OReiley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Phrisbee OReiley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

OReiley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of OReiley, into his guard.


OReiley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Donnie Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
