The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Congo. Those never looked like landing.
Congo misses with a lunging right hand
and Garcia makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Congo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Joe Congo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garcia feints and then cracks Congo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Congo down.

We've been hearing reports that Garcia has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Garcia feints a jab and as Congo dips his head, Garcia unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Congo right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Congo falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Garcia smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
