The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weffart is not content to let Ferreira control the position.
Weffart looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ferreira is looking to pass Weffart's guard but actually Weffart recovers to full guard.
Weffart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferreira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferreira postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ferreira pushes down on Weffart's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ferreira moves into full mount! Weffart won't be happy about that!

Ferreira is landing with some decent strikes but Weffart is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ferreira looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Weffart covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
