Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksandar Jankovic!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jankovic drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jankovic won't allow Briggs to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jankovic throws a big elbow that misses.
Jankovic working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jankovic prevents Briggs from getting back to his feet.
Jankovic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jankovic throws a big right hand that misses.
Jankovic is looking to work some ground and pound but Briggs has wrist control.
Jankovic landing some decent shots from guard.
Jankovic prevents Briggs from getting back to his feet.
Jankovic postures up in Briggs's guard and throws a big left but Briggs blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Briggs throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Briggs looking for a guillotine here but Jankovic defends easily.

Briggs has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jankovic off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Briggs tries to clinch but Jankovic moves away
and Jankovic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jankovic rushes Briggs with punches - Briggs moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Briggs goes down! Jankovic follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleksandar Jankovic!
