And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duane Perry!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry slips a straight right by Shopionus.
Perry is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Duane Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Ricky Shopionus has been cut.
Shopionus throws an off balance right hand
and Perry counters with a nice leg kick.
Perry moves into the clinch successfully.
Shopionus has Perry pressed against the cage.
Shopionus effectively controlling the action here.
Shopionus misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perry.
Shopionus scores with a shoulder strike.
The referee is keeping an eye on Shopionus - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Perry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shopionus scores with a jab.
Good leg kick by Perry there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shopionus lunges at Perry with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Perry's hand.
Shopionus defending well as Perry loads up on a big left hand.
Perry misses with a hook.
Perry ducks under a wild hook from Shopionus.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Perry - that will leave a mark!
Perry throws a right and a left that both miss.
Perry delivers a nice body kick.
Shopionus throws the left hand but Perry avoids the punch easily.
Shopionus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Perry.
Shopionus throws a right hand that misses
and Perry counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perry moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Perry cracks Shopionus with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Shopionus tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Perry pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Shopionus is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duane Perry!
Post fight, Duane Perry stared into the camera and said 'ROTFLMAO did you really think you could beat me? LOL hAhahahahah. STFU noob.'.
