Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Sakuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). CJ Stone has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Daisuke Sakuma's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daisuke Sakuma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Stone! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Sakuma with that takedown attempt. Sakuma definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Stone gets caught napping as Sakuma dives in and scores a takedown. Stone manages to retain guard. Sakuma trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sakuma won't allow Stone to sweep him here. Stone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sakuma wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sakuma wanted to stand there but Stone had control of the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Stone keeps the fight on the outside. Sakuma throws a leg kick but Stone sees it coming and moves out of range. Sakuma misses with a takedown attempt and Stone counters with a shoot takedown. Sakuma fights it but they end up in guard. Stone postures up in Sakuma's guard and throws a big left but Sakuma blocks it. Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sakuma has Stone pulled in close to control his posture. Sakuma controls Stone momentarily but Stone frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sakuma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Stone wants to stand but Sakuma is controlling his posture from full guard. Sakuma manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stone manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakuma trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stone keeping full guard, as Sakuma tries to pass. Sakuma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stone tries to strike from the bottom.
Sakuma drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stone dives on top into guard. Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakuma is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sakuma wants to hit a switch here but Stone passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sakuma there! Sakuma wants to hold on but Stone pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakuma stops Stone from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Stone thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Stone looking for a guillotine from mount but Sakuma is having none of it. Sakuma regains half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sakuma is trying to control but can't.
Sakuma tries to get to full guard but Stone has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
CJ Stone dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Nice takedown defense from Sakuma. No joy for Stone on that attempt. Stone slaps away a takedown attempt from Sakuma, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stone moves into range and clinches up with Sakuma. Stone has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sakuma.
Sakuma jumps guard but Stone turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daisuke Sakuma. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sakuma tries to pull guard but Stone holds him up against the cage and eventually Sakuma drops back down to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sakuma pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. Stone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sakuma controls the pace. Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sakuma tries to stand but Stone is controlling from the bottom. Sakuma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Stone gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stone decides to pull guard. Sakuma trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. CJ Stone has got the better of the ground game so far. Sakuma looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone has control of Sakuma's left arm, preventing Sakuma from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sakuma postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sakuma, into his guard. Stone postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Stone is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sakuma looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sakuma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sakuma is trying to control the position from the bottom.

CJ Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Sakuma misses with a head shot. Sakuma avoids the attempt from Stone to control. Sakuma can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stone is looking to escape. Sakuma moves to the back position. Stone is keeping busy.
Sakuma is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Stone is defending well though. Sakuma let's go of the attempt for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone wants to get back to his feet. Stone avoids the strikes from Sakuma. Stone is trying to stand back up. Stone trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Stone is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sakuma gets his way!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakuma struggling to keep hold of the position.
Stone is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sakuma off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Stone is really stuck here.
