Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Espinoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel's entrance music is Ain't No Sunshine. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Claudio Espinoza! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Espinoza takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Espinoza throws an overhand right that lands on Steel's shoulder, as Steel tries to avoid the shot. Espinoza misses with a kick to the body.
Steel misses with a straight left. Steel looks to throw the jab but Espinoza is out of range. Steel throws a lazy right hand but Espinoza sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Steel checks a leg kick. Espinoza lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steel circles away quickly and effectively. Steel cracks Espinoza with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Espinoza throws a front kick that sends Steel stumbling back into the cage. Espinoza has closed the distance and engaged Steel in a clinch.

Nice elbow from Steel. Steel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Espinoza gets a trip takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Espinoza wants to pass the guard but Steel is defending well. Steel is not content to let Espinoza control the position. Espinoza landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Espinoza is trying to control the action in half guard but Steel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Espinoza might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Steel haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Steel is concentrating on defense, preventing Espinoza from advancing position. Espinoza tries to pass to full mount but Steel defends it. Espinoza thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Steel is in trouble now - Espinoza has advanced to mount! You get the feeling that Steel really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Steel trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Espinoza working away from the top, dropping strikes. Steel can't escape the position.
Steel is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Werewolf's cave that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Espinoza dominating with strikes here.
It looks like Alex Steel has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel wants to hold on but Espinoza pushes him away. Espinoza looking to finish with strikes here!

Espinoza can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Steel is looking to escape. Steel tries to lock up and control but Espinoza gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Espinoza has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Steel's face.
Alex Steel's cut is getting worse. Steel is trying desperately to improve position. Espinoza with good strikes from the mount here!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Steel is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Espinoza is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Steel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Espinoza is in the full mount, landing strikes. Espinoza unloading with bombs!
Jeez, Alex Steel's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alex Steel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Claudio Espinoza! A very excited looking Claudio Espinoza rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
