Rodriguez has chosen Spanish guitar as his entrance music. Raul Rodriguez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Scrappy Dew's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scrappy Dew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dew paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nice uppercut lands for Rodriguez. That snapped Dew's head back.
Rodriguez staying out of range there. Dew looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rodriguez misses with a series of wild punches.
Rodriguez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dew. Rodriguez looks to throw the jab but Dew is out of range. It looked like Dew was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Dew lands with an overhand left. Rodriguez misses with a wild body shot. Dew closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rodriguez did well to prevent Dew getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Dew content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Dew is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rodriguez is just riding it out for now. Dew eventually gives up the hold. Rodriguez has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Beast Playground. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Rodriguez is looking for a sweep. Dew is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dew passes the guard and advances to mount! Dew with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Rodriguez can't escape the position.
Dew looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Dew fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dew is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rodriguez is just riding it out for now. Dew eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dew tries to pass to full mount but Rodriguez defends it. Dew is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dew tries to stand and escape but Rodriguez is controlling the position. Dew is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rodriguez defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dew is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dew seems to be working for a kimura but Rodriguez defends the submission attempt. Dew lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rodriguez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rodriguez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dew is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rodriguez defends it well. Dew is trying to work for a kimura but Rodriguez is defending well.
Rodriguez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dew is working away from the top position though. Dew wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rodriguez keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dew is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rodriguez has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scrappy Dew dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Rodriguez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dew. Rodriguez missing with a left hand there. Dew was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rodriguez throws a hook but Dew avoids it easily. Dew is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rodriguez can do to turn this around? Rodriguez misses the shot to the body. Dew uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rodriguez. Rodriguez throws a shot from downtown. Dew moves away and avoids it. Rodriguez misses with a series of wild punches.
Dew darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A swing and a miss from Rodriguez. Dew feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dew looking to pass the guard. Rodriguez wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dew trying to control but Rodriguez is working from the bottom. Dew is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rodriguez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dew is controlling him. Rodriguez working a defensive guard here.
Dew wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dew catches Rodriguez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Dew ducks under a wild hook from Rodriguez. Raul Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodriguez misses with the combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dew lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Rodriguez missing with a left hand there. Dew was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A jab lands there for Dew. Dew rushes Rodriguez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dew pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dew lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A left lands for Dew. Rodriguez throws a series of punches but Dew moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dew fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dew. Dew has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rodriguez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dew yanks on the arm and Rodriguez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dew.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Scrappy Dew! A less than humble Scrappy Dew misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
