Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kinetsu Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alberto Rossi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alberto Rossi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kinetsu Hayabusa! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayabusa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hayabusa shoots in but no luck this time. Rossi tests Hayabusa's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hayabusa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rossi swivels and escapes. Rossi connects with a solid leg kick. Rossi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hayabusa paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hayabusa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rossi tries to avoid it but Hayabusa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rossi to the ground. Rossi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alberto Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kinetsu Hayabusa. A chopping leg kick lands by Rossi. Rossi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hayabusa walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Rossi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hayabusa. Rossi lands a jab to the nose. Rossi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hayabusa is out of range and Rossi settles back down. Rossi throws the left hand but Hayabusa avoids the punch easily. Rossi fakes the leg kick and cracks Hayabusa in the body. Hayabusa looks gassed! Hayabusa shoots for a double leg takedown but Rossi sprawls well. He's pushed Hayabusa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A good leg kick by Rossi. Rossi connects with a solid leg kick. Rossi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossi controlling the action here. Rossi wants to pass to mount but Hayabusa is defending the position. Rossi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hayabusa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rossi. Rossi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hayabusa is in a horrible position here. Rossi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rossi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rossi unloads with some shots from mount but Hayabusa bucks and avoids them well.
Hayabusa is squirming around, avoiding Rossi's attempts to control the action. Rossi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hayabusa tries to lock up and control but Rossi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hayabusa is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayabusa gets back to half guard. Hayabusa is trying to stand.
Rossi is just content to waste time from the top position. Hayabusa takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rossi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hayabusa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hayabusa is on top in guard.
Hayabusa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hayabusa with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rossi keeping full guard, as Hayabusa tries to pass. Hayabusa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rossi working for a triangle but Hayabusa defends it easily.
Rossi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hayabusa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rossi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hayabusa's back instead. Hayabusa is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rossi gets his way!
Rossi is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hayabusa has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alberto Rossi dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hayabusa goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Rossi with a hook. Hayabusa misses with a kick to the body.

Hayabusa has Rossi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rossi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Rossi misses with a knee strike.

Hayabusa gets control of Rossi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hayabusa will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hayabusa is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hayabusa pushes down on Rossi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hayabusa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rossi is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hayabusa pulls his head out easily. Hayabusa wants to get back to his feet.
Rossi looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Hayabusa pushes past his half guard into mount! Hayabusa avoids the attempt from Rossi to control. Rossi wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hayabusa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rossi wants to hold on but Hayabusa pushes him away. Hayabusa landing strikes, looking to finish! Hayabusa tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Hayabusa looking to secure an arm triangle but Rossi defends it well. Hayabusa is standing up, even though he is in mount. A nice inside leg kick there by Rossi. That's going to slow Hayabusa down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Hayabusa with that takedown attempt. Hayabusa tries to bum rush Rossi with a series of wild strikes but Rossi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hayabusa stuffs the takedown attempt from Rossi. Rossi gets slowly back to his feet. Hayabusa fails to land with a series of punches.

Alberto Rossi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rossi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hayabusa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hayabusa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Hayabusa shoots in but no luck this time. Alberto Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kinetsu Hayabusa. A bone on bone clash there as Hayabusa blocks the leg kick.

Kinetsu Hayabusa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Rossi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hayabusa to the mat! Hayabusa manages to get full guard. Rossi drops back looking for a leg! Hayabusa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hayabusa manages to kick Rossi off! Rossi jumps back into Hayabusa's guard. Hayabusa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rossi escapes and throws Hayabusa's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossi is looking to take a break and control but Hayabusa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hayabusa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rossi's best efforts. Hayabusa is trying to maintain the position but Rossi is very close to passing his half guard. Hayabusa looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hayabusa tries to get to full guard but Rossi has control of the leg. Still in half guard, Rossi seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rossi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hayabusa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rossi scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rossi wants to slow Hayabusa down by chopping away at his legs. Rossi misses with the combination.
Hayabusa closes the distance and clinches up with Rossi, looking for a takedown. Hayabusa pushes Rossi against the cage but Rossi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Alberto Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kinetsu Hayabusa. Hayabusa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hayabusa just misses with a punch to the body.

A combination from Hayabusa does no damage. Hayabusa tries for a takedown but Rossi circles away easily enabling Rossi to counter with a crisp jab. Rossi moves into range and clinches up with Hayabusa. Come on Rossi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Rossi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hayabusa has Rossi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rossi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rossi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rossi is looking to break free of the clinch but Hayabusa has double underhooks. Hayabusa is looking to break free of the clinch but Rossi has double underhooks. Rossi manages to break the clinch.
Hayabusa throws a hook to the side of Rossi's head but Rossi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rossi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rossi feints and as Hayabusa raises his hands in defense, Rossi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rossi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hayabusa dives on top into guard. Hayabusa trying to control the position from guard on top but Rossi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rossi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hayabusa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rossi tries to strike from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Alberto Rossi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rossi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
