Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leon Madge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Paul! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madge tries a low kick but Paul avoids it. Madge looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Paul wants to counter with a clinch but Madge pushes him away. Paul looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Paul chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A low kick from Madge is predictable there and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Madge tries to break free but Paul pushes him back against the cage. Paul lands a left hand.
Paul lands on the inside with an uppercut. Madge doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Paul lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Madge is trying to break the clinch but Paul is controlling him. Paul lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Madge backwards. The referee is keeping an eye on Paul - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Paul scores with a nice hook to the head. A short left from Paul. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Madge is trying to break free. Madge working aggressively here.
Madge wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Paul is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Madge is keeping busy. Paul tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

That's one minute gone in the round. Paul lands a nice elbow. Madge wants to get back to striking at distance but Paul won't allow it.
Madge wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Paul working Madge over with knees to the body. Madge wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Paul gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Paul lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Leon Madge has been cut. Madge is trying to break the clinch but Paul has him pressed against the cage. Paul lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Paul lands with a short shot to the head. Paul tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Paul keeps control of Madge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Paul has Madge pressed against the cage, preventing Madge from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Paul misses with a knee strike.
Paul gets through Madge's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Madge misses with a short punch on the inside. A short right hand to the side of the head by Madge. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Madge lands with a short shot to the head. Paul landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Madge is trying to break free. Paul lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Paul lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A right hook to the body lands for Paul.
Madge is trying to force a seperation but Paul has the dominant position. Paul scores with a shoulder strike. Madge tries to circle away but Paul has him pinned against the cage. Paul pushes Madge back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Paul utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Paul connects with a knee to the head.
Paul lands a left hand that snaps the head of Madge backwards.
Madge is rocked! Paul lands a shoulder strike. Oh Madge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Paul lands on the inside with an uppercut. Paul lands a big right hand that drops Madge! The killer instinct kicks in and Paul finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Paul!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Paul! Ron Paul decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
