Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jared Dare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Etu Maamladu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jared Dare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Etu Maamladu! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dare stalks Maamladu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maamladu's face. Maamladu staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Etu Maamladu has been cut. Maamladu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maamladu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dare keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Dare fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maamladu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Dare looking to control but Maamladu passes into half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dare looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dare wants to get up but he can't break Maamladu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Maamladu wants to sweep here but Dare controlling him for the moment. Maamladu working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Maamladu keeping moving, preventing Dare from controlling successfully. Dare tries to free his leg and advance position but Maamladu is retaining full guard. Maamladu pulls Dare in close to prevent any damage. Dare trying to control the position from guard on top but Maamladu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maamladu controlling Dare's posture. Maamladu will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dare wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dare tries to break the clinch but Maamladu is controlling the position. Maamladu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dare can't fight it off and eventually Maamladu manages to take the fight to the floor. Dare looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Etu Maamladu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Etu Maamladu's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Maamladu circles away from the clinch attempt and Maamladu holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Dare managing to block the knees to the body from Maamladu.
With the fighters up against the cage, Maamladu throws an elbow but misses. Maamladu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Dare tries to pull guard but Maamladu won't allow it.
Dare goes for a takedown in the clinch but Maamladu prevents it.

Maamladu jumps into guard, dragging Dare to the mat.
Dare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maamladu swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dare would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maamladu looking to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maamladu scores with a couple of good head shots there.
You get the feeling that Dare really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Maamladu lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maamladu lands with some strikes. Dare is squirming around, avoiding Maamladu's attempts to control the action. Maamladu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dare's face.
Dare is bucking up trying to escape but Maamladu cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Dare tries to reverse the position but Maamladu maintains control. Maamladu sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Maamladu lands a heavy elbow. Maamladu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dare because Maamladu loaded up on that one. Dare is trying to stand. Dare avoids a series of strikes thrown by Maamladu.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dare holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Maamladu tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dare tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Etu Maamladu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Etu Maamladu's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dare wants to clinch but Maamladu slips to the side so Maamladu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Maamladu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Maamladu landing some decent shots from guard. Maamladu stops Dare from standing up. Maamladu wants to control from the top but Dare keeps moving. Maamladu won't allow Dare to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dare is looking for a triangle but Maamladu pushes his legs off easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Maamladu clinches with his opponent.
Dare changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Maamladu fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Maamladu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maamladu lands in his opponent's guard. Maamladu with a nice head shot there. Dare keeping full guard, as Maamladu tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maamladu trying to control but Dare is working from the bottom. Dare uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Maamladu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Maamladu showed some decent athleticism there. Dare pushes Maamladu off looking to stand but Maamladu dives back in and keeps control.
Dare manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maamladu gets a clinch. Dare is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Maamladu decides to pull guard. Dare is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Maamladu looking for a sweep. Not yet Maamladu, not yet. Dare passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dare throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Maamladu struggling a bit here. Dare lands a nice forearm strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maamladu tries to buck Dare off but Dare is having none of it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dare wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maamladu keeps working. Maamladu is trying to get back to half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Maamladu drives through and clinches with Dare against the cage.
Jared Dare has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Etu Maamladu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Maamladu blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that's the end of the fight! Etu Maamladu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Maamladu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
