Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Sloppy strikes from Palmer. Those never looked like landing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petrov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Palmer walks away with a smile on his face. Petrov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Petrov moves into the clinch.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Palmer throws a chopping leg kick but Petrov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Petrov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Petrov wants it to stay on the feet.
And Petrov tries to counter it with a takedown but Palmer pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Palmer will probably get the nod.

Petrov looks up at the clock and then as Palmer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Petrov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Petrov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Palmer is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Petrov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

In his post fight interview, Vladimir Petrov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
