Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruan Pott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Winter Rose. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ruan Pott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pott closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pott not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pott prevents Bravo from improving his position.

Bravo looking for submissions off his back.
Bravo tries to get to full guard but Pott has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pott wants to free his trapped foot but Bravo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pott thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bravo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Pott.

Bravo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pott defends well.
Pott working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bravo's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bravo pulls Pott in close to prevent any damage.
Pott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bravo is keeping the position for now.

Pott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pott has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo's legs - danger averted.

Bravo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bravo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bravo trying to keep a closed guard but Pott is proving a slippery customer.

Bravo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pott postures up in Bravo's guard and throws a big left but Bravo blocks it.

Pott is in close to Bravo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Pott is looking to advance position but Bravo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Pott is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bravo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pott shrugs it off.
Pott regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Johnny Bravo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bravo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pott tries to avoid it but Bravo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pott to the ground. Pott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pott manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bravo on his heels. He'll look to pass Bravo's guard now, I'm sure.

Pott sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bravo's guard.

Pott is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Bravo keeping full guard, as Pott tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bravo is rocked!
Pott postures up and lands a big shot to Bravo's brow.
Bravo is still in real trouble! Can Pott finish him?
Pott arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bravo's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ruan Pott!
After winning the bout, Ruan Pott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
