Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Meida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hanlon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thiago Meida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Hanlon! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Hanlon does no damage. Nice sprawl there from Hanlon as Meida shoots in. Hanlon is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Hanlon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Meida defends well and Hanlon ends up having to push Meida into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hanlon throws a combination that misses and Meida counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Meida is in close to Hanlon's body, working some short punches and elbows. Meida trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanlon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hanlon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Meida chips away with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanlon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Meida stacks Hanlon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Meida! Hanlon tries to bench press Meida off him but Meida keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanlon dodges the ground and pound from Meida. Hanlon is working to avoid the ground and pound but Meida connects with a decent elbow. Meida scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hanlon to see if he's OK. Meida wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hanlon, who protects the arm well. Hanlon is looking to reverse the position. Hanlon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Hanlon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hanlon sneaks back into half guard. Meida looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meida wants to pass the guard but Hanlon is defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Meida prevents Hanlon from improving his position. Hanlon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Meida scores with a couple of nice shots. Meida throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Meida working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That has opened up Mark Hanlon's cut even more. Hanlon wants to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Meida lands a nice short elbow.
The cut above Mark Hanlon's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Meida has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hanlon actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meida scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Mark Hanlon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Hanlon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
