The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buttgereit doesn't manage to clinch there - De Santos circles away.
De Santos looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and De Santos counters with a good low kick that Buttgereit was not able to check.
Buttgereit throws a hook to the side of De Santos's head but De Santos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Santos! But no joy.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
De Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Buttgereit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

De Santos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Buttgereit is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for De Santos.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Buttgereit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Buttgereit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Santos looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Buttgereit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A nice side step and De Santos releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Leandro De Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Buttgereit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Leandro De Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think De Santos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
