The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson shoots for a double leg takedown but Costa sprawls well. He's pushed Hanson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hanson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Costa feints and as Hanson raises his hands in defense, Costa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Costa stands and throws Hanson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Costa is trying to stick to Hanson's back but Hanson is turning into Costa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Costa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hanson.
Costa has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hanson doesn't defend quickly enough and Costa has managed to lock this one up! Can Hanson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Costa on a fantastic submission victory.
