Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergey Keosayan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Skreba Reijonen!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keosayan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reijonen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keosayan is defended easily by Reijonen.
Keosayan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Reijonen counters with a leg kick.
Keosayan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Reijonen throws an overhand right that lands on Keosayan's shoulder, as Keosayan tries to avoid the shot.

and Keosayan counters with a takedown into side control.
Reijonen has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keosayan tries to score with some ground and pound. Reijonen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Keosayan throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Reijonen works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Keosayan thows a huge punch but Reijonen dodges it nicely.

Keosayan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Keosayan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Reijonen is squirming around, avoiding Keosayan's attempts to control the action.

Reijonen is trying desperately to improve position.
Reijonen wants to control but Keosayan is having none of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Keosayan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reijonen is trying to escape the mount.

Keosayan is working for a guillotine from mount but Reijonen frees his head quite easily.
Reijonen tries to lock up and control but Keosayan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Reijonen is squirming around, avoiding Keosayan's attempts to control the action.
Reijonen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Keosayan.
Keosayan unloads with some shots from mount but Reijonen bucks and avoids them well.

Keosayan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Reijonen turns into him and now he's in Keosayan's guard.
Reijonen wants to control from the top but Keosayan keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keosayan throws a body shot but no joy.
Keosayan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reijonen. That did some damage!
Reijonen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Keosayan to score with a decent uppercut.
Keosayan slips a straight right by Reijonen.

Keosayan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reijonen.
Reijonen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Keosayan.

Keosayan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Keosayan counters with a single leg into guard. Reijonen didn't expect that.
Keosayan stands and throws Reijonen's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Keosayan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reijonen has escaped the position, nice work there.

Keosayan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Keosayan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Reijonen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reijonen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Reijonen walks into a left hand.

The fighters circling - Keosayan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reijonen unleashes a big counter combination but Keosayan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Keosayan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reijonen is now in Keosayan's guard. A big mistake from Keosayan there, giving up the dominant position!

Keosayan has his foot on Reijonen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reijonen works his way back into a safe position though.
Skreba Reijonen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Reijonen is fighting to break Keosayan's control of his arms but Keosayan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Keosayan has his hands on Reijonen's head, controlling the position.
Keosayan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reijonen's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Keosayan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keosayan lands a leg kick that knocks Reijonen off balance momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Keosayan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
