Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cabrera shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cabrera stands up.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Cabrera in a clinch.
Jones is trying to force a seperation but Cabrera has the dominant position.
Cabrera takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Jacob Cabrera has been cut.
Cabrera tries to work over Jones's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Cabrera pulls guard.
Jones throws a big right hand that misses.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cabrera holds on and takes a little breather.
Cabrera is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.
Cabrera trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Cabrera avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones trying to control but Cabrera is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cabrera is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

Cabrera is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jones presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Jones putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Cabrera in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cabrera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Cabrera postures up.
Jones is looking to stand back up but Cabrera counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jones.

Cabrera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cabrera.
Jones wants to improve his position but Cabrera is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cabrera prevents Jones from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones trying to control here.
Cabrera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jones is trying to stand back up but Cabrera is controlling him

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Cabrera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cabrera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cabrera gets to mount! Jones was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jones looks winded!

Cabrera is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Cabrera!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jacob Cabrera!
