Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Milo Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Che Satomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Satomi has chosen Bad Boys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Milo Phillips! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Che Satomi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Satomi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Satomi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Phillips controls the position from side control. Satomi can't do much from the bottom here. Phillips taking a break here but Satomi is having none of it and regains half guard. Satomi desperately trying to maintain half guard. Phillips tries to stand but can't do so whilst Satomi controls his leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Satomi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Satomi keeping moving, preventing Phillips from controlling successfully. Phillips is squirming around, avoiding Satomi's attempts to control the action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Phillips wants to hold on but Satomi pushes him away. Phillips holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Satomi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Che Satomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phillips works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Phillips lands with a hook. Satomi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Phillips shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Phillips trying to control the action but Satomi is working from the bottom.

and Phillips counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Satomi thinking. Phillips blocks a jab. A jab from Satomi misses. Phillips keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Satomi. Phillips clobbers Satomi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Phillips lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Satomi circles away quickly and effectively. The fighters circling - Satomi throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Phillips throws a hook but Satomi avoids it easily. Phillips closes the distance and pushes Satomi back into the cage. Phillips avoiding damage.

Milo Phillips dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Satomi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Phillips has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Satomi but great work by Phillips. Satomi struggling a bit here. Phillips tries to move to mount but Satomi blocks the move with his legs. Satomi is not content to let Phillips control the position. Satomi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Phillips wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Milo Phillips. Well Phillips has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
