Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tor Nansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Doherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nansen comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Thunder. The crowd seem to be enjoying Doherty's choice of entrance music: You can't stand me now. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tor Nansen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Doherty! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nansen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Doherty fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nansen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doherty. Pete Doherty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doherty misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Doherty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nansen.
Nansen throws a jab but it's blocked by Doherty. Nansen thows a left - swing and a miss! Doherty bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nansen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Doherty stays in close to Nansen's body and controls the position. Nansen keeping full guard, as Doherty tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nansen has a closed guard, preventing Doherty from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nansen tries to strike from the bottom.
Nansen keeping moving, preventing Doherty from controlling successfully. Doherty won't allow Nansen to sweep him here. Nansen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doherty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Doherty trying to control but Nansen is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nansen works Doherty's body with a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Doherty scores with a jab. Nansen acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Nansen throws a head kick but Doherty moves out of range.
Doherty misses with a takedown attempt and Nansen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice uppercut lands for Doherty. That snapped Nansen's head back.
Nansen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doherty counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Doherty. Nansen wants to sweep here but Doherty controlling him for the moment. Nansen is looking to sweep but instead, Doherty has passed into half guard.
Nansen wants to improve his position but Doherty is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nansen manages to get to full guard.
Doherty tries to free his leg and advance position but Nansen is retaining full guard. Nansen striking from his own guard. Doherty stays in close to Nansen's body and controls the position. Doherty trying to control but Nansen is working from the bottom.

Doherty wants to pass the guard but Nansen is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doherty wants to stand but Nansen is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nansen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Doherty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Nansen seems keen to control Doherty's posture. Nansen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Doherty dominated that round. That's time! Nansen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nansen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doherty looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Doherty is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nansen off and has taken his back! Doherty is hanging on to Nansen's back as he tries to escape.
Doherty tries to keep control of the position but Nansen is staying busy. Doherty slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nansen wants to control his opponent's hands but Doherty gets his hands free. Nansen tries to roll but Doherty sticks to his back.
Nansen is working hard here to advance position. Doherty slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nansen misses with a two punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Doherty shoots in but no luck this time. Doherty misses with a takedown attempt - Nansen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Doherty walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nansen with a body punch. A glancing blow. Nansen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Doherty. That did some damage! The fight stays on the outside here - Doherty looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A combination from Doherty does no damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nansen misses with a low kick as Doherty jumps back. A jab from Doherty misses. Nansen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Doherty counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Doherty rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Doherty jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nansen with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Doherty to counter with a crisp jab. Doherty works the jab nicely. Nansen circles away from the clinch attempt so Nansen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doherty not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nansen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Nansen scoring with some ground and pound. Nansen scoring with some ground and pound. Doherty has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Nansen has passed into side control.
Doherty sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Doherty tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Nansen has advanced to mount. Uh oh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tor Nansen dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Doherty throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Nansen. Nansen throws a shot from downtown. Doherty moves away and avoids it. Doherty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nansen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Doherty lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Doherty displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Doherty. Doherty lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nansen at a distance.
A jab from Doherty finds it's way through Nansen's defenses. A jab from Nansen misses. Doherty looks to throw the jab but Nansen is out of range. Doherty lands with a straight right. Nansen didn't see that one coming. Nansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Doherty throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nansen counters with a straight right hand. Doherty connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nansen momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doherty throws a right hand that Nansen ducks under and follows up with a left that Nansen also avoids with ease. Doherty with a jab. Doherty defending well as Nansen loads up on a big left hand. Nansen misses with the body kick and Doherty counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Doherty displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nansen throws out the jab. Doherty might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Doherty connects with a jab. Doherty lands with an uppercut that bounces Nansen off the cage and back into rage. Nansen gets a takedown into half guard. Nansen wants to advance to full mount but Doherty doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty pulls Nansen in close to prevent any damage. Nansen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Doherty is trying to control the position but Nansen postures up. Nansen stops Doherty from standing up. Nansen throws a big right hand that misses. Doherty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Doherty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nansen looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Nansen wants to pass the guard but Doherty is keeping the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nansen misses with the body kick and Doherty counters with a lovely straight right hand! Doherty gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nansen fails with the takedown and Doherty counters with a shoot takedown. Nansen fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Doherty really dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Doherty has his takedown stuffed and Nansen counters with a straight right hand. Doherty tries to close the distance and clinch but Nansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Doherty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Doherty waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Nansen. Doherty fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nansen shoots in but Doherty avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nansen tries for a takedown but Doherty circles away easily and Doherty counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty defending well as Nansen loads up on a big left hand. Doherty throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nansen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Nansen wants to clinch and Doherty counters with a nice double leg into guard. Nansen controls Doherty momentarily but Doherty frees himself. Doherty trying to control but Nansen is working from the bottom. Nansen throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Doherty wants to control from the top but Nansen keeps moving. Nansen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doherty gets to his feet - Nansen follows without any prompting. Doherty stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Nansen misses with a looping left. Doherty on the wrong end of a nice hook. Nansen on the wrong end of a nice jab. Doherty lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nansen backs up against the cage.
Doherty staying out of range there. Nansen dodges the punch combination from Doherty.
Nansen with a poor takedown letting Doherty counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tor Nansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nansen misses with a straight left. Nansen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nansen looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Doherty slips a jab from Nansen. Doherty lands with a cross. Doherty misses with the combination.
Doherty throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Doherty tries to bum rush Nansen with a series of wild strikes but Nansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Doherty on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nansen. Nansen obviously looking to wear him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nansen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Doherty misses the jab. Nansen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nansen lands in his opponent's guard. Doherty pulls Nansen in close to prevent any damage. Nansen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Doherty looking for a sweep. Not yet Doherty, not yet. Doherty controlling the position. Nansen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Doherty dominated that fourth round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Nansen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nansen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Doherty fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nansen on the side of the head. Nansen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Doherty checks a leg kick nicely. Doherty bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nansen's head backwards. Nansen misses with a wild body shot. A big left from Doherty misses. Nansen misses with a straight right. Doherty ducks under a wild hook from Nansen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doherty lands a nice shot to the body.
Doherty digs a good body shot into Nansen's ribs. Nansen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Doherty counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Doherty is trying to control the action in half guard but Nansen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Doherty stalling. Nansen is not content to let Doherty control the position. Pete Doherty has got the better of the ground game so far. Doherty seems to be working for a kimura but Nansen defends the submission attempt. Nansen is looking to control Doherty's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nansen avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doherty is keen to just control but Nansen is a slippery customer. Nansen tries to roll over but Doherty keeps him under control. Doherty is thwarting Nansen's attempts to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Doherty slips under a jab. Doherty throws a lazy right hand but Nansen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Doherty has closed the distance and engaged Nansen in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doherty lands a right hand. Nansen keeps control of Doherty as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Doherty has Nansen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nansen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Doherty avoiding damage as Nansen throws knees to the body.
Doherty changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nansen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Doherty is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Doherty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nansen shoots in but no luck this time. Nansen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doherty.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nansen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nice uppercut there from Doherty. A right-left combo lands from Doherty. Nansen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nansen listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Doherty avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nansen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Doherty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nansen but Nansen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Doherty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Doherty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
