Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cage bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Palo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cage can pounce on him.
Cage throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cage cracks Palo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
An inside leg kick lands from Cage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Palo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cage - the referee stops the clock and Palo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cage. Palo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Cage connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Palo walks into a straight right hand from Cage.
Cage throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Palo.
Palo is rocked!
Cage cracks Palo with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Palo tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cage pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Palo is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Cage!
