Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Madball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Tran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Madball!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madball scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Madball misses with a few strikes there.
Madball misses with an uppercut.
Madball swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tran.
Madball throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A combination from Madball does no damage.
Madball misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Madball shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Madball showed some decent athleticism there.
Madball is trying to control the action in half guard but Tran is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Madball throwing shots but Tran is blocking nicely.

Madball prevents Tran from improving his position.
Madball blocks the strikes from Tran.
Tran keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tran is trying to stand.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Madball looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Madball misses with a double jab.
Tran dodges the punch combination from Madball.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Madball thuds his right hand into Tran's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tran looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Madball is fending him off so far but Tran persists. Nope, Madball circles away and we're back to standing.
Madball steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Tran.
Tran is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Madball.
Madball fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tran manages to avoid it.
Madball tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tran was well out of range. Poor timing from Madball.
Tran went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Some wild striking there from Madball.
Tran drops down looking for a counter takedown but Madball sprawls and moves away.

Tran closes the distance and clinches.
Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tran lands on the inside with an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Madball is trying to break the clinch but Tran is controlling him.

Madball has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tran clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Madball punches the canvas rather than the man.
Madball misses with an elbow to the head.
Tran tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Madball throws some wild stikes that Tran manages to avoid easily.
Tran is wriggling around trying to escape.
Madball really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tran throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Madball controlling from the full mount.
Madball throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tran because Madball loaded up on that one.
Madball wants to control the pace but Tran is squirming around nicely.

Madball with shots to the head and body - Tran looks very uncomfortable down there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Madball misses with some ground and pound and Tran recovers position to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy Madball dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Tran takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Madball throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Some wild striking there from Madball.
Tran went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Tran clinches with his opponent.

Tran breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Madball throws a hook to the side of Tran's head but Tran sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Madball swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Tran wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tran fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rafael Tran is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tran slips a jab and a cross from Madball.
Madball should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tran shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Madball but Madball pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Madball throws a hook but Tran blocks it.
Madball dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tran showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Madball.

Madball shoots in and gets a takedown into Tran's guard.

Tran looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Madball seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Tran will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Tran has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Madball off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Freddy Madball seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Madball pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tran back to the cage. Madball follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Tran is rocked!
Freddy Madball seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BOOM! Madball lands a beautiful left hook that drops Tran. Tran tries to recover but Madball is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Tran lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Freddy Madball!
