The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Bruno Hogan and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanford looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sanford lands with a kick to the temple. Kelly shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Edward Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sanford napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sanford struggling a bit here.
Kelly tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kelly cracks Sanford with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Kelly looks up at the clock and then as Sanford takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kelly smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kelly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sanford, who protects the arm well.
Kelly cracks Sanford with a big elbow.
Sanford is trying to get back to his feet.
Kelly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kelly tries to advance to mount but can't.

Kelly lands a strong strike to the head of Sanford. That's dazed him! Kelly looking to finish here. Sanford is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Kelly lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
