Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Doomsday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nintendo Takada! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takada scores with a one two! Doomsday had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A big right from Doomsday misses. Doomsday misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takada.

Takada throws a jab when Doomsday was well out of range. Takada throws a hook but Doomsday blocks it. Doomsday gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Takada gets caught flat footed, as Doomsday shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Doomsday wants to control from the top but Takada keeps moving. Doomsday keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Takada's head. Takada pushes Doomsday off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doomsday looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Takada has his foot on Doomsday's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doomsday works his way back into a safe position though. Takada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doomsday can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Doomsday loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Doomsday drops back looking for a leg! Takada is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takada manages to kick Doomsday off! Doomsday jumps back into Takada's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Doomsday distracts Takada with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Takada is trying to keep Doomsday in close.

It looks like Nintendo Takada has been cut. Doomsday scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Victor Doomsday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doomsday fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Takada keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Doomsday. Doomsday walks into a stiff left hand from Takada. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doomsday misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Doomsday misses with a wild body shot. Doomsday moves out of range as Takada strikes. Doomsday throws a combination that misses and Takada counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Doomsday swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Takada cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Doomsday misses with a combination
letting Takada counter with a right hand. Doomsday is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takada misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Takada throws a lazy right hand but Doomsday sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A slow jab from Takada misses its intended target. Takada misses with a two punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Doomsday misses. Doomsday looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Takada! Doomsday has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takada is trying to escape the mount.
Takada is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doomsday is working for a guillotine from mount but Takada frees his head quite easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Doomsday scoring with strikes but Takada is staying in there. Doomsday lands a big elbow. Doomsday lands a nice shot to the head. Takada tries to hold on but Doomsday postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nintendo Takada will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nintendo Takada's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Takada misses with an uppercut. Takada might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Takada lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

The fighters circling - Doomsday throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Takada connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Doomsday's hands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Doomsday tries for a takedown but Takada circles away easily and Takada counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
