Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien OQuinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Archer comes to the cage accompanied by Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone . The crowd seem to be enjoying OQuinn's choice of entrance music: King Gordy - Damian. 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien OQuinn! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OQuinn has Archer up against the cage in a clinch.
OQuinn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Archer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
OQuinn effectively controlling the action here. OQuinn manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Archer working some nice short punches in the clinch. OQuinn lands a nice knee to the body. OQuinn missing with knees to the body.
Archer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and OQuinn avoids it. OQuinn has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Archer clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. OQuinn has good solid back control here. Archer can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. OQuinn gets his hands free as Archer looks to control. Archer avoids the strikes from OQuinn. Archer tries to roll but OQuinn sticks to his back.
My spies in Midnight MMA inform me that OQuinn has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
OQuinn gets his hands free as Archer looks to control. Archer is in bad spot here.

OQuinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Archer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. OQuinn is hanging on to Archer's back as he tries to escape.
OQuinn is riding his opponent, not letting Archer buck him off. I really don't envy Archer right now.
OQuinn doesn't have the hooks in and Archer manages to turn into his guard.
Archer trying to control the position from guard on top but OQuinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Archer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OQuinn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
OQuinn wants to sweep but no luck. OQuinn trying to control the position.
Archer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Archer wants to control from the top but OQuinn keeps moving. OQuinn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Archer throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Archer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping OQuinn at a distance.
OQuinn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. OQuinn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Archer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. OQuinn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Archer can pounce on him.
OQuinn tries to clinch up but Archer circles away and keeps his distance. OQuinn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Archer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Archer tries to bench press OQuinn off him but OQuinn keeps the position. OQuinn staying calm. Archer can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien OQuinn dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Archer throws a body kick that misses. Archer sets himself, and OQuinn steps forward looking for the clinch! Archer avoids it this time. OQuinn moves to clinch but Archer breaks away and Archer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Archer's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Archer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as OQuinn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. OQuinn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Archer is controlling him. Archer passes OQuinn's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Archer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but OQuinn sees it coming and defends easily. Archer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. OQuinn defending well though. Archer is keen to just control but OQuinn is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. OQuinn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Archer. OQuinn is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Archer jumps into side control! Archer goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, OQuinn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Archer but great work by OQuinn. Archer struggling a bit here. OQuinn trying to control the action but Archer is working from the bottom. Archer tries to improve position but can't. Archer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. OQuinn looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. OQuinn trying to control from half guard but Archer is working away. Archer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Archer looking for a kimura from the bottom but OQuinn passes into side control! Archer is looking for a sweep. Archer regains half guard. Archer regains full guard. Nicely done. Archer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Archer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. OQuinn doesn't defend quickly enough and Archer has managed to lock this one up! Can OQuinn escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Archer on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sterling Archer! Sterling Archer thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, Damien OQuinn stepped up to the mic, saying 'Cant win them all i`ll be back!!'.
