Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jigoro Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudy Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jigoro Kane!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Perry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kane tries to hold on but Perry pushes him away.
Kane is squirming around, avoiding Perry's attempts to control the action.
Perry is really struggling to control Kane but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perry throwing strikes here but Kane is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Perry working the ground and pound effectively.
Kane avoids a series of strikes thrown by Perry.
Kane is trying desperately to improve position.
Perry thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Perry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Perry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kane is looking to escape.

Perry has control of Kane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kane regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kane working to try and regain half guard.
Kane wants to control but Perry is having none of it.
Perry misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Perry prevents Kane from getting the reversal.
Kane tries to hold on but Perry postures up.
Perry throws a sloppy strike and Kane uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Kane has ended up in Perry's guard.
Kane is looking to stand up but Perry won't let him.
Kane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Perry misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Perry tries to clinch there but Kane circles away.
Perry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kane moves away.
A jab from Kane does it's job there.
Perry fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perry.
Kane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perry has time to react.
Kane throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A swing and a miss from Kane.
Kane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Perry wants to clinch.
Kane lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jigoro Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry ducks under a wild hook from Kane.
Jigoro Kane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kane scores with a crisp jab that stopped Perry in his tracks.
Kane lands with a hook. Perry tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perry slips a straight right by Kane.
Kane lands the left hand.
Kane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Perry circles away quickly and effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perry walks into a stiff left hand from Kane.
Kane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Perry has time to react.
Kane throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perry sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kane throws a lazy right hand but Perry sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kane connects with a good right hand that stumbles Perry. Perry circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Perry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Perry shoots for a double leg takedown but Kane sprawls well. He's pushed Perry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kane looks to land a right hand but Perry moved out of range.

Perry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perry trying to control the action but Kane is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jigoro Kane dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kane waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Perry.
Perry tries for a takedown but Kane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Perry fails with a takedown attempt.
Perry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rudy Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kane catches Perry with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Perry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kane pinned against the cage. Kane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kane bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Perry's head.
Perry takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Perry wants to clinch up but Kane keeps it at a distance.
Kane listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kane misses with a two punch combination.
Perry misses with a takedown attempt - Kane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kane scores with a shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kane as he jumps to the side.
A telegraphed right hand from Kane misses the target.
Perry closes the distance and clinches up with Kane, looking for a takedown. Perry pushes Kane against the cage but Kane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rudy Perry is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Perry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kane as he avoids it easily.
Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side.
Perry takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kane cracks Perry with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kane has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Perry to stand back up!


It looks like Rudy Perry has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kane Rushes Perry and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Perry is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Kane Piles on the pressure and Perry crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jigoro Kane!
