Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chinzo Matsuzaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nate Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chinzo Matsuzaka! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsuzaka tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Matsuzaka tries to clinch up. Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Matsuzaka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Matsuzaka misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Matsuzaka looks gassed! Matsuzaka tries to clinch up so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Matsuzaka keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Johnson misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsuzaka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nate Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chinzo Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka tries to move into range but Johnson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Chinzo Matsuzaka has been cut. Johnson throws a leg kick that misses. A bone on bone clash there as Matsuzaka blocks the leg kick.
Johnson is looking to score with low kicks. Johnson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A punch combination from Johnson misses. Chinzo Matsuzaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson tries to bum rush Matsuzaka with a series of wild strikes but Matsuzaka uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsuzaka has his takedown stuffed and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Matsuzaka won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson tries to stand but Matsuzaka is controlling his head. Matsuzaka sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Matsuzaka looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Matsuzaka wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matsuzaka actively working from the bottom here. Johnson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Matsuzaka controls his leg. Matsuzaka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Matsuzaka wants to control but Johnson passes into side.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson is working Matsuzaka over with some ground and pound from side control. Johnson trying to control the position but Matsuzaka is working away. Matsuzaka sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Matsuzaka is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Matsuzaka to regain full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Matsuzaka sees it coming and avoids it easily. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Matsuzaka tries to clinch and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand. Matsuzaka has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Johnson is trying to drag Matsuzaka to the mat but Matsuzaka just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Matsuzaka comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Matsuzaka misses with a knee to the head. Matsuzaka missing with knees to the body.
Johnson is looking to break free of the clinch but Matsuzaka has double underhooks. Matsuzaka throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Matsuzaka tries to clinch up and Johnson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

He has one arm under the chin but Matsuzaka has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Nate Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsuzaka tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Johnson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Chinzo Matsuzaka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Matsuzaka is looking to escape. Matsuzaka keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Nate Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
