Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alan Sansing! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sansing.
Sansing closes the distance and clinches up with Evans, looking for a takedown. Sansing pushes Evans against the cage but Evans circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sansing misses with a jab, cross combination.
Evans throws a counter high kick but Sansing was just alert enough to avoid it. Evans throws out a leg kick but Sansing moves out of range and Evans only half commits. Evans throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sansing ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Evans moves away. Sansing blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sansing if he has to take too many more of those.
Sansing looks to land a left hand but Evans moved out of range nicely. Evans is looking to counter with a body kick. Evans lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sansing will feel that in the morning. Evans does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. We've been told by Evans's head coaches at BigMouth Cabrons that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sansing closes this distance looking for a takedown but Evans circles away. Sansing takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Evans takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Evans looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sansing darts in looking for a takedown but Evans gets double underhooks and turns Sansing into the cage. A quick step to the side and Evans tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Evans tries to work over Sansing's front leg with a kick but Sansing checks it. Evans takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sansing blocks a low kick nicely. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sansing! But no joy. Evans throws a chopping leg kick but Sansing manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sansing throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sansing misses with a straight left. Evans is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sansing can do to turn this around? Sansing changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sansing wants to control but Evans is keeping him busy. Sansing grinds an elbow into Evans's temple. Sansing lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Evans down.
Sansing wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working. Evans prevents Sansing from moving into mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans dodges the ground and pound from Sansing. Sansing tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sansing has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Evans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Alan Sansing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sansing accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sansing trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sansing lands a couple of digs. Sansing loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Evans has control of Sansing's left arm, preventing Sansing from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sansing scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Evans counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sansing thinking. Evans stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Evans wants it to stay on the feet. Evans lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sansing jabs at Evans's body. Sansing checks a low kick from Evans. Sansing with the counter takedown but Evans avoids it easily. Sansing misses with a wild body shot. An attempted straight right counter from Evans misses the target. Sansing tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sansing somewhat.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alan Sansing. I think Sansing has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Alan Sansing! A less than humble Alan Sansing misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
