Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chisulo Kalagho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chisulo Kalagho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Silver! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalagho misses with a takedown attempt - Silver sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Silver scores with a nice right hand.
Johnny Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalagho moves out of range as Silver strikes. Kalagho uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silver. Kalagho scores with a takedown into Silver's guard. Kalagho throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalagho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kalagho passes Silver's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kalagho throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Silver to regain full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silver can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver wants to sweep but no luck. Kalagho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silver works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Silver preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kalagho preventing the sweep. Kalagho drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silver dives on top into guard. Kalagho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalagho has his foot on Silver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silver works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalagho tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kalagho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silver defends well. Kalagho is looking for a triangle but Silver pushes his legs off easily.
Kalagho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kalagho swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalagho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silver manages to get himself to full guard.
Kalagho working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silver's head. Silver controls Kalagho momentarily but Kalagho frees himself. Kalagho in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kalagho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silver works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kalagho sitting in guard here, content to control. Silver looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver keeping moving, preventing Kalagho from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kalagho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kalagho fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silver avoids it really well and circles away. Silver has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kalagho is landing a low percentage of strikes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chisulo Kalagho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown attempt by Kalagho or perhaps it was just good defense by Silver, which made it look bad. Kalagho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silver.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silver misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chisulo Kalagho will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kalagho uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silver. Silver tests Kalagho's chin there with a solid looking shot. Silver misses with a hook. Kalagho ducked under it nicely. Kalagho changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Silver throws a big shot that misses. Kalagho uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silver. Silver throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kalagho shoots for a takedown but Silver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kalagho lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silver has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silver and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Chisulo Kalagho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalagho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silver defends well and Kalagho ends up having to push Silver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Silver throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kalagho stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kalagho on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kalagho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silver.
Kalagho half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Silver shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kalagho eats them both and turns towards Silver to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Silver scores with a nice head shot. Silver throws a body punch but Kalagho moves out of range. Johnny Silver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kalagho slips under a jab from Silver. Kalagho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silver but Silver pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chisulo Kalagho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalagho fails with a takedown attempt.

and Kalagho counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Silver! We've been hearing that Kalagho has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kalagho wants to control but Silver is keeping him busy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silver is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kalagho is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silver has escaped the position, nice work there. Kalagho creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kalagho trying to control the position but Silver is working away. Kalagho postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalagho throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Silver works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kalagho is working for a kimura but Silver is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kalagho passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silver! Poor strikes thrown by Kalagho there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That was a close second round but I would say that Chisulo Kalagho will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Silver lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Johnny Silver has been cut. Kalagho slips a jab from Silver. Silver punishes Kalagho's body with a nice straight punch. Silver lands with a nice body punch. Kalagho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silver to the mat! Silver manages to get full guard. Silver avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kalagho stopping the sweep attempt from Silver. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalagho makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kalagho throws a strike but Silver rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kalagho looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Silver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kalagho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Silver is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kalagho sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silver defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalagho thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kalagho wants to pass to mount but Silver is defending the position. Kalagho thows a huge punch but Silver dodges it nicely.
Kalagho throwing shots but Silver is blocking nicely. Kalagho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silver does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Silver is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kalagho scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalagho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kalagho has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalagho looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Kalagho is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silver has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kalagho is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kalagho misses with a head shot.

Chisulo Kalagho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kalagho cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kalagho sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kalagho thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Kalagho misses with a head shot. Kalagho landing shots from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silver wants to hold on but Kalagho pushes him away. Kalagho dominating with strikes here. Johnny Silver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chisulo Kalagho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silver is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chisulo Kalagho showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kalagho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
