Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Amber Ale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Method Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Method Man enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amber Ale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Method Man! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Man is defended easily by Ale. Ale with a lazy takedown attempt and Man counters with a series of strikes. Ale will be more careful next time no doubt. Ale manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Man on his heels. He'll look to pass Man's guard now, I'm sure. Ale advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Man does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Man is trying to stand.
Man is trying to control but can't.
Ale is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ale uses his free foot to push down on Man's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Man. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ale trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Man wants to improve his position but Ale is controlling well.
Ale is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Man has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ale is working away from the top position though. Ale is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ale wants to control the pace but Man is squirming around nicely. Man wants to control but Ale is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ale sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Man is rocked! Ale with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Man seems to have recovered his senses. Ale throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Man is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ale works to advance to full mount. Man defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Ale throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Man taking shots to the head. Ale scoring with strikes but Man is staying in there. Ale fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ale tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ale trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ale lands a heavy elbow. Man is squirming around, avoiding Ale's attempts to control the action. Man keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Man throws out a leg kick but Ale moves out of range and Man only half commits. Man shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ale as he jumps to the side. Man closes the distance and clinches up with Ale, looking for a takedown. Man pushes Ale against the cage but Ale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ale tries for a takedown but Man sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ale with a lazy takedown attempt and Man counters with a stiff right hand. Man will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ale attempts a counter takedown but Man avoids it well and moves away. Amber Ale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Method Man. Ale gets the takedown into side control. Ale trying to control the position but Man is working away. Man tries to buck Ale off but Ale is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ale working the ground and pound. Ale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around? Ale has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Ale has a takedown stuffed. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ale with a poor takedown and Man counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Man fails with a takedown attempt. Ale doesn't succeed with the takedown and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Man lands a jab. Ale looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Man is fending him off so far but Ale persists. Nope, Man circles away and we're back to standing. Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ale fails with the takedown. Amber Ale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Man fails with a takedown attempt. Ale tries for a takedown but Man circles away easily and Man counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Man feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A left and a right from Man both land. Nice combination. Ale shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Man defends it nicely.

Ale manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ale throws a left and a right that both miss

Method Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Man trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Man flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ale anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Man and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ale slips an arm under Man chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ale has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ale is squeezing on Man like an anaconda would it's prey. Man fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
