Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Mykolas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabe Mykolas! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mykolas doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Mykolas wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. Mykolas wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. Mykolas lands an overhand right. Johnson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Johnson prevents Mykolas from improving his position. Mykolas is pressing down on Johnson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Johnson is breathing heavily. Mykolas tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mykolas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Mykolas. Mykolas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mykolas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mykolas is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mykolas to get the leverage. Mykolas wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. Johnson tries to roll over but Mykolas keeps him under control. Mykolas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well. Mykolas moves into full mount! Johnson won't be happy about that! Mykolas lands a big elbow. Mykolas avoids the attempt from Johnson to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mykolas is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnson is surviving well by controlling Mykolas's body position as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is working to get back to half guard.
Johnson is working hard here to advance position. Mykolas trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mykolas prevents Johnson from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mykolas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Johnson is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mykolas looking for a sweep. Not yet Mykolas, not yet. Johnson content to stall in guard here. Mykolas looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.
Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mykolas fails to land the takedown. Johnson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nick Johnson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Mykolas tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Mykolas is trying desperately to improve position. Mykolas punching to the body and holding on for dear life. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Johnson avoids the attempt from Mykolas to control. Mykolas is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mykolas flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Mykolas looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! I really don't envy Mykolas right now.
Johnson patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? You can see the frustration on Mykolas's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mykolas is trapped and Johnson is scoring with shots to the head and body. Johnson is riding his opponent, not letting Mykolas buck him off. Johnson trying to control momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I really don't envy Mykolas right now.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson controls the action. Johnson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Johnson is persistently looking for the submission but Mykolas is defending it well.
Johnson has the hooks in. Mykolas is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. A lull in the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnson is persistently looking for the submission but Mykolas is defending it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mykolas tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mykolas is looking to escape. Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mykolas is working to get back to half guard.

Nick Johnson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Mykolas wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. No luck for Mykolas with that takedown attempt. Mykolas fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Johnson checks it well. Mykolas slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johnson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Mykolas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mykolas is trying to stand.
Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Mykolas has managed to free his arm - good work. Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Johnson prevents Mykolas from improving his position. Johnson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mykolas is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Mykolas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mykolas wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Mykolas tries to improve his position but Johnson has taken his back! Johnson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Mykolas tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Johnson pushes Mykolas away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
