Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane The Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johan Hansson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane The Cane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johan Hansson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Cane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The Cane looks to land a combination. Hansson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The Cane forces Hansson back against the cage and clinches.
Hansson wants a takedown but no success here.
The Cane looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hansson pulls guard.
The Cane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hansson keeping full guard, as The Cane tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Cane showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The Cane looking to sit in guard and control but Hansson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The Cane can't keep his opponent in guard - Hansson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hansson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Hansson is looking for a kimura here.
Hansson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but The Cane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hansson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Cane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hansson.
The Cane wants to improve his position but Hansson is controlling well.
The Cane trying to hold on to Hansson's head to control him but Hansson postures up.
The Cane wants to improve his position but Hansson is controlling well.

Hansson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Cane sees it coming and defends easily.
The Cane is looking to improve his position.

Hansson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hansson is trying to control. The Cane wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The Cane looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hansson wants to pass the guard but The Cane is defending well.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hansson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hansson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as The Cane is looking to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



The Cane takes the fight into the clinch.
The Cane has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hansson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hansson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The Cane goes for a takedown attempt but Hansson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The Cane works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Cane wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Cane pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hansson back to the cage. The Cane follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hansson misses with a takedown attempt
and The Cane counters with a left to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from The Cane is defended easily by Hansson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane The Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hansson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Cane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The Cane goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hansson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The Cane tries to clinch but Hansson moves away

and Hansson counters with a takedown into side control.
The Cane is trying to control Hansson's posture but Hansson avoids it.
Hansson is putting a hurting on The Cane here, landing some big shots from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hansson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hansson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The Cane is not content to let Hansson control the position.
The Cane striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Hansson has hold of The Cane's arm. He's looking for a kimura. The Cane seems comfortable defending it but Hansson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! The Cane is real pain and he's forced to tap out! The Cane is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hansson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
