The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins ducks under a wild hook from Ayala.
Ayala circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ayala swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Perkins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ayala was covering up waiting for the punch and Perkins finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ayala is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Perkins wanted to stand there but Ayala had control of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jeremy Perkins is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Perkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ayala tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perkins is in Ayala's guard.
