The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanson fails to land the takedown.
Laulu appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Laulu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stanson.
Stanson shoots in but no luck this time.

Laulu slaps away a takedown attempt from Stanson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Stanson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Laulu swivels and escapes.
Stanson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Stanson tries to counter with a clinch but Laulu shakes him off and moves away.
Stanson dives in and grabs Laulu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laulu pushes down on Stanson's head and hops out.
Stanson shoots in for a double leg but Laulu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laulu throws out the jab.
A punch lands to the side of Stanson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Stanson counters with a left and a right that stings Laulu.

Stanson darts in looking for a takedown but Laulu gets double underhooks and turns Stanson into the cage.

Laulu connects with a right hand. Stanson shakes it off.
Laulu missing with a left hand there. Stanson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Laulu circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Stanson to the canvas! Stanson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Laulu keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
