PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Juan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima has chosen All I Do Is Win as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Mishima!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Juan.
Mishima on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Juan tries to sprawl but Mishima drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Juan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Juan pulls Mishima in close to prevent any damage.

Mishima drops back, looking for a kneebar! Juan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Juan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Juan!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Juan has hold of Mishima's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mishima manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Mishima is desperately trying to improve his position but Juan has a good base and remains in mount.

Mishima changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Mishima counters with a single leg into guard. Juan didn't expect that.

Mishima drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Juan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mishima has Juan in his guard.
