Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Nesi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nesi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Van Canto - Battery kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ed Nesi! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eikmeyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Nesi to counter with a crisp jab. Nesi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Eikmeyer's calf. Eikmeyer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eikmeyer lands in his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Eikmeyer is looking to work some ground and pound but Nesi has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eikmeyer throwing strikes but missing. Nesi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eikmeyer throws a strike but Nesi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Nesi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nesi wanted to stand there but Eikmeyer had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eikmeyer has his foot on Nesi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nesi works his way back into a safe position though. Eikmeyer seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Eikmeyer looking for subs off his back but Nesi has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eikmeyer actively working from the bottom here. Nesi tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Eikmeyer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nesi pulls his head out easily. Nesi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Nesi prevents Eikmeyer from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Eikmeyer actively working from the bottom here. Nesi content to control rather than advance. Eikmeyer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nesi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nesi's back! Nesi avoids the strikes from Eikmeyer. Nesi wants to control his opponent's hands but Eikmeyer gets his hands free. Eikmeyer looking to break Nesi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Nesi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Eikmeyer will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Eikmeyer has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nesi tries to escape but Eikmeyer has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Eikmeyer has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Eikmeyer looking for the RNC. Nesi rolls, trying to escape but Eikmeyer keeps control of the position.
Nesi defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Eikmeyer's arms. Despite being in a bad position, Nesi is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Nesi wants to control his opponent's hands but Eikmeyer gets his hands free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eikmeyer is looking for the choke from the back position but Nesi is controlling his hands well. Eikmeyer patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Eikmeyer looking for the choke from the back. Eikmeyer avoiding Nesi 's attempts to control his hands. Nesi turns into Eikmeyer and is now in his guard.
Eikmeyer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nesi stacks Eikmeyer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nesi! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Eikmeyer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nesi stands up and beckons Eikmeyer to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Eikmeyer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Eikmeyer fails with the takedown and Nesi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Eikmeyer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nesi's waist but Nesi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eikmeyer off to one side. Horrible takedown attempt by Eikmeyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Nesi, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Eikmeyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Eikmeyer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nesi to the mat! Nesi manages to get full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nesi holds on and takes a little breather. Eikmeyer has gone for a leg lock! Nesi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Eikmeyer's guard.
Nesi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Mario Eikmeyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nesi lands a nice hook to Eikmeyer's body. Eikmeyer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nesi working Eikmeyer over with knees to the body. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nesi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Nesi just leaning against Eikmeyer, taking a breather. Eikmeyer wants a takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nesi works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Ed Nesi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Nesi jabs at Eikmeyer's body. Eikmeyer has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Eikmeyer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Eikmeyer misses with a takedown and Nesi counters with a straight right hand. Nesi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Eikmeyer at a distance.
Nesi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Eikmeyer is rocked! and Nesi counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Eikmeyer! He's just covering up as Nesi starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Nesi! A relieved looking Ed Nesi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
