Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Verinen Puukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulmala keeps the fight on the outside.
Puukko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kulmala sprawls well initially but Puukko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Puukko is looking for a kimura but Kulmala is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Puukko to get the leverage.

Puukko is nestled in close to Kulmala, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Puukko is looking to take a break and control but Kulmala is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kulmala drops back looking for a leg! Puukko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Puukko manages to kick Kulmala off! Kulmala jumps back into Puukko's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Puukko is on top in guard.

Puukko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kulmala is just riding it out for now. Puukko eventually gives up the hold.
Puukko is looking to advance position but Kulmala won't allow it.

Puukko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kulmala looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kulmala looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kulmala!
