Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Winston Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kango Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Winston Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kango Carson! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carson shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Carson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Burns is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Carson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Burns appears to be looking for a big counter. Kango Carson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carson. Winston Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kango Carson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson scores with a one two! Burns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Winston Burns has been cut. Carson with a poor takedown and Burns counters with a two punch combo. Carson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Carson. Carson clinches up with Burns and pushes him back against the cage. Burns avoiding damage as Carson throws knees to the body.
Burns is trying to force a seperation but Carson has the dominant position. Burns breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carson fails with a takedown attempt. Burns thinks about countering with a head kick. Carson gets a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burns gets full guard. Burns wants to hit a switch here but Carson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Burns there! Burns is trying desperately to improve position. Burns is working hard here to advance position. Carson wants to control the pace but Burns is squirming around nicely. Burns is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns is looking to improve his position but Carson isn't that keen on the idea. Burns is squirming around, avoiding Carson's attempts to control the action. Burns is desperately trying to improve his position but Carson has a good base and remains in mount. Burns is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Carson punishing his opponent with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns tries to lock up and control but Carson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Burns tries to reverse the position but Carson maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Burns throwing strikes from guard but Carson blocks nicely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carson is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carson prevents Burns from getting back to his feet. Burns keeping moving, preventing Carson from controlling successfully. Carson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kango Carson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Winston Burns's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Carson clinches up with Burns and pushes him back against the cage. Burns wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Burns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Burns is trying to maintain a safe position but Carson gets an underhook and turns Burns into the cage. Carson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Burns just stands there and leans against the cage. Burns wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carson has him pressed against the cage. Carson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Carson taking a breather. Carson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carson is trying to pull guard but Burns turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Carson is looking to take this one to the mat. Carson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Burns is trying to keep an underhook but Carson manages to get the takedown into half guard. Carson is trying to control. Burns wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Burns is looking to escape. Burns manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Carson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Carson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burns smiles and moves away.
Carson is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Carson. Carson throws a counter combo. Carson throws a nice looking combination but Burns bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Burns looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carson. Burns seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Carson has closed the distance and engaged Burns in a clinch.
Burns wants to break free but Carson has control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson has a couple of punches blocked by Burns.

Burns is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carson's back! Carson tries to roll but Burns sticks to his back.
Burns is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Kango Carson has got the better of the ground game so far. Burns looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns lands punches and elbows. Burns is punishing Carson with strikes - can he finish him?! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burns avoiding Carson 's attempts to control his hands. Burns has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Carson. Burns lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Burns is trying to stick to Carson's back but Carson is turning into Burns. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Burns's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Carson. Burns keeping full guard, as Carson tries to pass. Burns has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Carson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Winston Burns will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Winston Burns's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Carson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Burns manages to get back to half guard. Burns wants to get back to full guard. Burns wants to get back to his feet. Burns punching from the bottom.
Carson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Carson stops Burns from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carson stalling away here and it's allowed Burns to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carson's guard.

Burns throws a big right hand that misses. Burns in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Burns lands a couple of digs. Burns scoring with punches to the head and body. Carson controls Burns momentarily but Burns frees himself. Burns stopping the sweep attempt from Carson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Burns has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carson is proving hard to escape from. Carson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Carson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Carson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Burns.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Carson shoots for a double leg takedown but Burns sprawls well. He's pushed Carson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Burns seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Carson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Burns counters with a two punch combo. Carson takes the fight into the clinch. Carson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Burns pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns shoots in for a takedown but Carson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Carson fails with the takedown. Burns seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Winston Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kango Carson. Carson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Burns dives in and grabs Carson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carson pushes down on Burns's head and hops out. Carson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Burns counters with a series of strikes. Carson will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns misses with an attempted mid kick.
Carson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Carson. Burns closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carson quickly recovers to half guard. Carson wants to sweep but Burns has passed to side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carson wants to get back to his feet but Burns drags him back down. Burns lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burns scores with a couple of short elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that's the end of the fight! Winston Burns showed his dominance in that final round. I think Burns has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
