The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bicki stuffs the takedown attempt from Homie. Homie gets slowly back to his feet.

and Bicki counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Homie thinking.

Bicki is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

A little feinted left hand from Bicki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

The crowd cheers as Bicki lands an impressive looking overhand right. Homie doesn't seem phased though.
Homie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bicki avoids it really well and circles away.
Homie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It looked like Bicki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bicki. Homie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Homie closes the distance and clinches up with Bicki, looking for a takedown. Homie pushes Bicki against the cage but Bicki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Bicki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Homie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bicki defends well and Homie ends up having to push Bicki into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Homie misses with a takedown attempt - Bicki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bicki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Homie.

Bicki is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Nice sprawl there from Bicki as Homie shoots in.
Bicki swings for the body but Homie moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Homie or perhaps it was just good defense by Bicki, which made it look bad.

It looks like Bicki has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A quick step to the side and Bicki tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Homie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Homie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bicki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Homie is in Bicki's guard.
Bicki is looking to stand up but Homie isn't so interested in that idea.
Homie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bicki controls Homie momentarily but Homie frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bicki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Homie is controlling him.
Bicki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Homie on the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bicki tries to kick Homie off but Homie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Well, if Homie is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Homie is working for a submission of some sort.
Bicki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Homie is working away from the top position though.

Bicki wants to stand back up but Homie manages to pass into side control.
Homie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bicki is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Homie yanks on the arm and Bicki is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Homie.
