Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karambit Konashevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Rymarczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rymarczyk has chosen I Belive i Can fly as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Rymarczyk!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konashevich with a poor takedown

and Rymarczyk counters by moving into the clinch.

Rymarczyk manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rymarczyk holds on and takes a little breather.

Rymarczyk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rymarczyk can do anything to dispel that myth.
Konashevich wants to stand but Rymarczyk has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rymarczyk wants to improve his position but instead Konashevich has moved into half guard.

Rymarczyk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Konashevich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rymarczyk drops back, looking for a kneebar! Konashevich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Konashevich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Konashevich!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karambit Konashevich.
Well Rymarczyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dawid Rymarczyk tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
